Oral tradition, writing and printing, and newly developing human-AI co-created media differ along multiple dimensions. Each type of authorship creates very different works and experiences for both authors and readers. The change to AI-supported creation may or may not be as big as the change from recitals to books, but it will have a dramatic impact.
